Documentary Shoot with Salvador Torres

We provided photography support during an early shoot of a new kelp documentary series, currently titled Holdfast San Diego, to be released Spring 2027 on KPBS.   Our focus was production shots and portraits of the legendary, Salvador Torres, founder of Chicano Park and co-artist of the Kelco Historical Community Mural.   Salvador Torres, now 90 years old, plays a key role in the first episode that presents the astonishing hidden history of how an underwater forest shaped a San Diego community, Barrio Logan, and how the Kelco mural holds one of the last visible traces of that forgotten history that defined San Diego and changed the world.
